African Chapter
The African Chapter of the Solidarity Research Network (SRN) is a transdisciplinary research circle bringing together scholars, practitioners, and early-career researchers to advance solidarity from African perspectives. Founded in 2026, it operates within the SRN while shaping its own agenda rooted in Ubuntu, social justice, and African intellectual agency.
The Chapter promotes collaborative research and knowledge exchange on challenges such as inequality, migration, and social development, with a strong focus on inclusivity and bridging academia and practice.
As a self-organised circle within the SRN’s sociocratic structure, it works through shared governance and joint initiatives, strengthening African contributions to global solidarity research and fostering context-sensitive, collaborative learning.
